Mindventure was born from a simple yet profound encounter — between a child's curiosity and a mother's wish to turn learning into genuine joy. At the heart of Mindventure lies the belief that mathematics is an adventure of the mind — a play of ideas, discoveries, and meanings that trains the way we think. Mindventure is the place where this vision comes to life — where children are encouraged to think freely, ask questions, and discover the joy of logic through play and understanding.
Who I Am — the Person Behind Mindventure
I’m Denisa Diaconescu — an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science (University of Bucharest), and I hold a PhD in Mathematical Logic. Since 2008, I've been guiding generations of young minds. I’ve taught both in Romania and at the University of Bern, and I've worked in research, applying mathematics in both academia and industry.
But beyond diplomas and scientific papers, I'm a mother. And when you are both a teacher and a parent, you see things differently. After years spent in academia and research, I discovered that the true value of mathematics lies not in results, but in the way it shapes our thinking. That's why I created Mindventure — a space where we connect with children, earn their trust, respect their rhythm, and show them that mathematics is beautiful, logical, and alive.
As a child, I used to line up my toys and “teach” them imaginary lessons. Today, I do the same — only now, my stories are about logic, exploration, and the joy of thinking. I want every child who walks through Mindventure to feel that their mind is strong.
